(Bethesda, MD, November 22, 2004) - Dr. Dany Westerband of Silver Spring has been named Medical Director of Suburban Hospital's Level II Trauma Center. Dr. Westerband joined Suburban's Medical Staff in 1995 after completing a trauma/critical care fellowship at Baltimore Shock Trauma (Maryland Institute for Emergency Medical Services Systems) and serving as an attending physician in trauma surgery at DC General Hospital.

"As the only state-designated trauma center in Montgomery County, Suburban provides an exceptional and vital service for the community and the surrounding metro area," says Dr. Westerband.
